Translated example while learning a card

In learning process when a card is shown with the translation and we need to guess the word in the studied language - it would be useful also to add the translated example. There are several reasons for that: -not always there is an exact word to word translation, rather than more of a notion which is better described with more words or examples -if i have synonyms or close meaning words in a big list it is hard to remember which one is in the current card

A, right now it is showing the target language example sentence with underscored word. Its only 50% of occurrences (for making it variable) and it has to match exactly in the sentence. Notice, you can use brackets to distinguish possible homonyms.

Petr from DuoCards Right, i also noticed that it is 50% target lang example and 50% no example. So then my suggestion would be 50% target /50% native lang examples. Keep in mind that in 99% of cases we do not just translate the word but a sentence or a phrase, so it seems reasonable to keep example always. Let me know what do you think

A Hi! Thank you for your post! Have you tried highlighting an example sentence while testing yourself? The app will translate it for you. Also, you can even save this sentence as a standalone card :) Let me know how you like it! Tina

DuoCards Thanks! What i meant is another translation direction. In this case I only see the translation (to lang to study) in the card and i need to guess the original word. Saving a sentence or a phrase (this way making it more clear the usage pattern) is a good idea which i used in the past. The problem is that it becomes to cumbersome and time-consuming process to create a card. I currently have a target to learn 1-⁠2K specific words and i need the app to make it as simple as possible for me to add cards for them
