Reviewing Learned Words after a Long Period

I believe the app should include a feature that reviews "learned" words after a long period of time, for example, after 3 months. If the test is passed, the word would be scheduled for review again after 1 year. If the test is passed again, the word would be scheduled for review after 2 years. This feature would help solidify long-term learning and prevent words from being forgotten over time.

Hello, I would like to draw your attention to an important aspect regarding the third stack of cards — the one that contains fully learned items. In practice, this stack includes two different types of cards: — Cards that are still in the queue for a future review and will appear again at some point. — Cards that will never be shown again and are permanently removed from the repetition schedule. Because both of these types are combined into a single category, certain difficulties arise when using filters. Specifically, when I enable the option “include known cards” in the filter, all learned cards are displayed — including those that are still scheduled to appear, even if that happens in a month. I verified this carefully, and the filter currently behaves exactly this way. However, in many situations, it is necessary to filter only those cards that are truly completed, have their “battery” fully filled, and are excluded from the review schedule. At the moment, there is no way to isolate them. Therefore, I kindly ask you to consider one of the following improvements: Either split the third stack into two separate categories: — cards that will still appear; — cards that will never be shown again; Or add a separate checkbox to the filter that would allow displaying only those fully learned cards that are not in the queue for another review, meaning the truly completed ones. Such an enhancement would significantly improve the accuracy and convenience of working with learned cards. Thank you for your attention. I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider this improvement. Best regards, Vitalii

We really need additional mode for learned cards review. The filter to include known cards into current learning doesn't solve the problem. I remember 80% of words that are in the learned state. And if I include them through the filter I need to swipe right these words several times until I get to the word that I forgot. So to review the known words I have to export them into Excel sheet, find the words that I forgot and then go to app, search every of these words to reset the status. Best of all would be to have a separate "refinement" mode where learning words appear randomly and you can easily swipe them left to reset the status if you forgot them and swipe right to keep as is.

Hi, thank you for sharing your insight! We already have this suggestion in place, so I’ve merged yours with it to consolidate votes and keep things organized: https://duocards.canny.io/feature-requests/p/reviewing-learn…

Hi Anastasia, you can do that easily by using the filter feature and selecting "Include known cards." Michaela from DuoCards

You can just add button "Reset All" for the learned words.

Було б добре настроювати час з яким з'являються вже вивченні картки.

Hello! If you want to practice words that are already in the known folder, you can use the filter feature and "include known cards". 🦣 Michaela from DuoCards

Michaela Hi, well, actually there is a problem with this. I would like to have here the quick default filters: - To Learn - Known - Learned So that selecting any of these filters would select all Known words (from multiple folders), etc. The same for Learned and To Learn. Now it is quite tricky to select all Known or Learned or To Learn words from dozens of my folders. Please see the attached screenshot. Thank you!

If you pass all the in progress cards (and i guess it is when you should care about the "learned" ones) there will appear a link to review the learned. Probably this will work for you?

But app already suggests known words after 3 month - just as a regular algorithm of repeating. The only thing I would advise is reduce this long period a bit, let say 2-2.5month instead of 3. I have forgot a lot of words after 3 month but still recalled more easy after 1-2 month

Its not a good idea. Actually its ridiculous. Something what is learned should be repeated not learned again. The intervals should be just different from current ones

Agree. Looks like I created a similar request. I think that my request is a duplicate in this case: https://duocards.canny.io/feature-requests/p/revisit-the-woo…

Hello. If you want to practice words that are already in the known and/or learned folder, you can use the filter feature and "include known cards". Another option is to reset a card's progress. Let me know when you have the chance to try it out :-) Tina

Hello Tina. I tried to find "include known cards" in the everywhere but didn't succeed. Can you help with it? I also checked "Learned" (yellow) words and didn't find anything. Thank you.

Evgeny Salmer: Hi Evgeny, this is part of the filter feature included in the Premium program. I'm attaching screenshots to show where the button is located. :) Let me know if you have any more questions. Michaela

Michaela I'm afraid if I enable this check-box then I will get a "tsunami" of words immediately (as I have already ~2 thousand words in "learned"). I'm just afraid to touch it 😅

Good idea.

100% agree!
