Thank you for your suggestion. This feature can be easily resolved - just type the word type / its shortcut into brackets behind the word. We find this solution sufficient so we do not plan to implement it differently.

Yes, that would be so cool - e.g. when I add a word 'wage' I would like to choose whether I see the translation and explanation for a verb or for a noun :)

In this case you can do it by adding the or to before the word.
