Ability to TURN OFF pictures
There should be a button to turn off pictures when learning new words, I mostly learn the pictures and connect them to the words. Therefore I wont actually learn the words itself, but the pictures only

Sometimes I want to not show the pictures as a harder training not being influenced by them, but I don't want to delete my carefully selected pictures for when I want them. A toggle like the sound on/off would be perfect!

Hi Colin! You can delete the picture manually once the card is in your deck. Simply tap the pencil icon on the card, then tap the picture and then delete it. Finally, tap "save." :)✌️Michaela

Michaela, it's not about deleting the pictures. It's about possibility to hide pictures when needed or show them. I think there should be a toggle in Settings.

Michaela changing the icons of 2000+ words does not seem to me like a task worth my time, rather want to spend my time studying the language! There already is an option to disable sound / quizmode. Adding an option to disable picturemode sounds like something that can be implemented in a couple of minutes, faster than I can change the icons myself haha

@Hanieh am could you elaborate why you want to turn images off? In general when you can tell the learned word from picture, it's better than translating it from your native language, so what is the reason, you don't want the images?

Reiska hattunen and isn't it benefit in most of the cases? It should be better, when you can tell the word in target language when you see it instead of translating it from native language. And in specific cases when the image is not helping you can remove or replace it as Blitz Bolt mentioned.

You can unselect the picture by clicking selected picture again in edit card. (selected picture is at the bottom in pictures)

I feel like people are aware of how to delete pictures per card that but since the app automatically adds pictures, it would be a hassle to delete it for all 3000 cards for example and it would be good to be able to disable pictures in the setting if a user prefers it

Petr from DuoCards Whoa! I didn't notice you can edit that part, I thought we can only edit the text. It would also be nice to have the option to simply remove the icons entirely so new cards don't get them as well. A bit tedious having to do them one by one but this is very helpful, thanks!
